We will discuss Ayurveda and Yoga. Both are basically is a part of Ayurveda. These days people forget our traditional time in which people cure our disease with the help of ayurvedic medicines and yoga to stay healthy. Ayurveda has considered one of the oldest traditional systems of medicine accepted worldwide. The ancient wisdom in this traditional system of medicine is still not exhaustively explored.

The junction of the rich knowledge from different traditional systems of medicine can lead to new avenues in the herbal drug discovery process. Ayurveda, which means ‘ the science of life in Sanskrit, is the art and science of living in harmony with the environment around us.

Yoga helps in keeping our mental and physical health intact. It helps us to connect to nature. Furthermore, your body becomes more flexible after some consistent yoga practice and you also develop a great sense of self-discipline and self-awareness. According to Ayurveda, three qualities or doshas from important characteristics of the prakruti, or body constitution. The three doshas are:-

VATA:- Vata dosha reflects the qualities of space and air elements and governs our body movements.

PITTA:- Pitta dosha is made of fire and water elements and governs digestion, nutrition, metabolism, and body temperature.

KAPHA:-  Kapha dosha reflects the qualities of earth and water elements and governs our bones, muscles, teeth, and everything dense in our body.

Ayurveda and Yoga can certainly play a pivotal role to augment preventive measures provided in the guidelines by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
